The Silver Spoon

On my birthday
You gave me a silver spoon with a bear handle.
'In Tibetan Buddhism', I said,
'Silver is one of the three pure metals,
The others being copper and gold.'
Now, I use your spoon every day,
Stirring my tea with it,
Eating kiwi fruit with it,
Gripping the handle tightly
Because I cannot feel the touch of your hand.
