With the support from Windhorse Publications and Sangharakshita’s Literary Executors, Erik Westrup has created a new website that makes Bhante’s beautiful translation of the Dhammapada available online for free to everyone:You can donate via our website, or donate via bank transfer using the following details:
dhammapada.at
The site lets you:
* Read chapters & individual verses
* Learn from annotations & footnotes
* Search the full text
* Share links to specific verses, e.g. dhammapada.at/chapter/1/verse/1 (link reads like English)
* Random verse (your new start page?): dhammapada.at/random
* Install it as an App on phone or desktop for offline reading (see the Offline menu)
The idea was simply to make Bhante’s translation easier to access, search, and share, especially for study groups, talks, and everyday inspiration.
Chapters and verses can be browsed individually, the full text is searchable, and verses can be shared via direct links with a formatted preview. Sangharakshita’s notes and annotations are included as clickable footnotes, and the site can be installed as an app for convenient offline reading on both desktop and mobile.
